Rafael Ortiz

Rafael joined the Florin family in 2014 initially as the operations manager, where he developed and enhanced operational procedures so we can better meet the needs of our clients. He currently performs compliance tasks for Florin Group. He is an experienced professional with over 40 years of extensive administrative and managerial experience, with which he acquired in the military and civilian sector.  Rafael is very proficient in personnel management and training, automation, research and development of operational procedures, team building, budget development and maintenance, as well as procurement and logistics. 

 

Rafael retired as an Army lieutenant colonel after his military career of 27 years. He excelled in a myriad of roles worldwide. His performance and accomplishments during his career earned him numerous awards, such as the Legion of Merit, Bonze Star, Air Medal, Joint Services and Army Meritorious Medals.

Rafael holds an M.A. in Personnel Management from Webster University, an M.S. in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, a B.S. in Commerce and Business from Niagara University, and an A.A.S. in Micro-computer Applications from Howard Community College. He also graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. All degrees were attained with highest honors.

Rafael enjoys doing home improvements, collecting novelties, gardening, travelling, and helping the underprivileged.
